1). Speed down stream = 12 / (48 / 60) km / hr
            = (12 × 60) / 48 = 15 km / hr
Speed upstream = 12 / (80 / 60) km / hr
            = (12 × 60) / 80 = 9 km / hr
Speed in still water = (15 + 9) / 2 = 12 km / hr
